Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board appoints hospitality veteran

Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board, the official destination marketing organization for the Valley Forge area and Montgomery County, Pa., hired a new director of event services & membership.

ECN 122014_POM_Valley Forge Tourism_Megan TMegan Tomlinson brings 17 years of experience as a sales manager. For the past three years, she was a sales manager at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Most recently, she was responsible for the sports, pharmaceutical and medical markets as well as the association market in the Midwest. In prior years, her markets included tradeshow, consumer show and corporate as well as the associations market in Washington, D.C.

“We are certainly thrilled to have her join our team. With her knowledge, experience and enthusiasm, I am confident she will bring a new and exciting dynamic to the position at Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board,” said Bill Fitzgerald, president, Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board.

Prior to working for the Pennsylvania Convention Center, she spent 14 years at the Valley Forge Convention Center, selling and servicing all market segments, producing over $4 million in convention revenue annually.

Tomlinson attended Millersville and Temple Universities and is a member of the International Association for Exhibitions and Events; National Association of Consumer Shows; Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International; and the Professional Convention Management Association.
