TS² 2011 postponed

ts2thumbIn July of this year, TS², the Trade Show about Trade Shows, initiated a comprehensive review and study of all aspects regarding the show and the industry it serves.  Subsequently, the TS² conference and exposition will not be held in 2011 and is postponed until 2012.

According to National Trade Productions, Inc. (NTP), owner and producer of TS², it has become apparent that both exhibitors and attendees are looking for new and innovative solutions to bring the community together.

“As TS² evolves over the next year, we will continue to serve the tradeshow industry with the same dedication TS² has exemplified over the past 37 years,” said Christopher Harar, TS² show director. “This is a new beginning for TS² and its supporters.”

The Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA) has held its annual meeting in conjunction with TS2 since its purchase in 2004 by NTP. Specific dates for TSEA’s annual meeting will be announced in January 2011.

“The Trade Show Exhibitors Association affirms it will continue to offer and deliver our current roster of educational conferences and opportunities as well as scheduling our Face-to-Face Connections, TSEA’s hosted buyer event, over the next twelve months and beyond in various parts of the country,” said Margit B. Weisgal, CME, president and CEO of TSEA. “We will be expanding (our) programs to provide our members and the exhibiting community with quality education and events.”

Meanwhile, the review of TS² has led NTP to the decision to create new focused events for the industry. NTP plans to focus on new strategies that will bring meaningful interaction between the suppliers and TS² attendees.

“We are excited about the future events that are now under development,” said Harar.

TSEA will continue to offer its regional programming, conferences and the Red Diamond Congress in 2011.

“We thank you for your continued support of TSEA and look forward to serving you in the future,” stated Weisgal in a letter to the industry published on the TSEA website.
