TSEA Exhibitors’ Choice Awards name best in industry

Votes for the 2011 TSEA Exhibitors’ Choice Awards were tallied at the beginning of the month. Winners of awards such as Best Exhibit House and Best Show Manager were announced at the Exhibit Industry Education Foundation (EIEF) Fundraiser Gala on August 2 in Orlando, Fla.

As part of the 2011 Red Diamond Congress (RDC), the TSEA announced several award winners.

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) was honored with the Favorite Show award. CEA’s senior vice president of events and conferences, Karen Chupka, was also named TSEA’s Best Show Manager.

“CEA is honored to receive this TSEA award, and we are especially thrilled that our customers, the exhibiting companies of the International CES, selected us as their favorite trade show,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA. “I could not be more proud of Karen Chupka for her Best Show Manager award. Karen oversees every aspect of the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, and her leadership and dedication make the International CES a global success.”

TTS Logistics Inc. (Tradeshow Transportation Specialists) was named Best Transportation/Freight Company by the TSEA for the second consecutive year.

“Our team continues to amaze me with their commitment to our customers and their unwavering resolve to make sure each shipment is executed with precision, and we are honored to be recognized by the Trade Show Exhibitors Association for the second year in a row,” said Michael Hill, vice president of TTS Logistics. “This award speaks volumes about the perception exhibitors have on TTS Logistics, especially when you compare our relative size to some of the other nominations out there in the field. My response to prospective clients that compare us to the ‘big common carriers’ that dominate the industry has always been-‘we’re big enough to guarantee your shipping satisfaction, but more importantly, we’re small enough to care.’ This has been the motto that has shaped TTS Logistics to be the successful company it is today.”

Among the winners was Freeman, a national general contractor. Freeman won the award for Best General Contractor 2011.

“This award is a great testament to our high-quality customer service and dedication to producing a creative final product through innovative methods,” said Katy Wild, executive vice president of customer relations. “It is truly an honor to receive such an esteemed award. We look forward to continuing these customer-driven partnerships in the future.”

Nth Degree, a full-service global event marketing and management company, won a TSEA Exhibitors’ Choice Award as the industry’s Best Installation and Dismantling Company for the third year in a row.

“We are honored to be recognized for the third consecutive year,” said John Yohe, president and CEO, Nth Degree. “This award reflects the hard work of our team members and demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement. A special thanks to everyone who voted and also to the men and women of Nth Degree who prove every day that they are dedicated to our customers’ success.”

MC2, an exhibit and event marketing company, earned the TSEA Exhibitors’ Choice Award for Best Exhibit House. Bernie Massett, national director of I&D for MC2, accepted the award at the Gala.

“We’re delighted to be named Best Exhibit House in TSEA’s Exhibitors’ Choice Awards,” said Rich McAdam, president of MC². “We sincerely thank everyone who took the time to vote. You really made this happen.”

Another winner from the TSEA Exhibitors’ Choice Awards was Alliance Tech, an Austin-based technology provider for tradeshows and other live events. Alliance Tech was named Best Technology Company.

Alliance Tech was awarded this title based specifically on its suite of Intelligent Solutions, such as tradeshow lead retrieval by use of the iPad and use of RFID technology to automate session attendance tracking and exhibit booth attendance.

“We are honored to be recognized by our clients and peers for this prestigious award, and we thank TSEA for providing us with this opportunity for the second year in a row,” said Art Borrego, president and CEO at Alliance Tech.
