The Cruise Pavilion returns to boot Düsseldorf 2016

Following the successful launch in 2015, boot Düsseldorf 2016 – 47th International Boat Show – will again feature the Cruise Pavilion presenting a wide range of cruise options in Hall 14. boot will take place from Jan. 23 – 31, 2016 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The Cruise Pavilion centers on the presentation by TUI Germany, the German tourism market leader, which operates twelve cruise ships. Together with its cooperating shipping lines, TUI Germany will show the broad range of travelling options in “floating hotels” on more than 3,200 square feet of exhibit space. The providers include TUI Cruises, Hapag Lloyd, Star Clippers and Silversea Cruises. The long-established postal shipping line Hurtigruten will be located within the adjacent maritime travel market. Together, these companies will present cruising in all its diversity, for all ages, interests and demands.

TUI Cruises offers all-inclusive cruises known as “My Ship”, with guests being pampered to their heart’s content. Families with younger children feel comfortable on the “My Ship” cruises as well since there are no are specific dress codes or mealtimes. Cruises with special themes, such as the Full Metal Cruise or the Football Lounge with prominent experts commenting on the 2016 European Championship are additional highlights in the TUI Cruises program.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has specialized in expeditions in addition to classic cruises on the well-known Europa ships. The expedition ships MS Hanseatic and MS Bremen sail to the remotest areas of Greenland or Alaska.

The romantic side of sailing can be experienced on the yachts operated by Star Clippers Cruises since they operate tall ships rather than classic ocean steamers. Relaxation, peace and quiet are the focus on these cruises.

The Silver Cruises ships are small but impressive because they can enter smaller, exotic harbors and can navigate not just the world’s oceans but also rivers. The destinations for the Silversea ships include the yacht harbors of the Lesser Antilles as well as such classic Mediterranean destinations as St. Tropez, Monte Carlo and Venice.

Authenticity is the trademark of Hurtigruten, a name derived from the Norwegian word Hurtigruta (“express route”). Using a traditional postal ship, a unique entertainment program is provided by the spectacular sights along the coast of Norway. The 12-day voyage goes from Bergen to Kirkenes on Varangerfjord in Northern Norway and back again.

A varied selection of travel options will be showcased on the Captain’s Deck at the center of the Cruise Pavilion. Here, the shipping lines will give short presentations about the trips and show films about the destinations and the services provided on board. Attendees can book their cruises directly on-site at boot Düsseldorf 2016 in the TUI Booking Center.

boot Düsseldorf is the largest boat and water sports trade fair in the world. Every January, over 1,700 exhibitors from more than 60 countries present their innovations, developments and maritime equipment for nine days in 17 halls.

Tickets for boot 2016 can be purchased online at www.boat-duesseldorf.com starting middle of November. All tickets allow free use of public transportation within Düsseldorf.
