Tectonics names executive vice president

Tectonics, a manufacturer of tension fabric structures, exhibits and displays, has named an executive vice president.

In his new role, Tony Helfman will oversee all of Tectonics’ West Coast operations, including those of its Las Vegas production facility and Tectonics’ West Coast sales team. Helfman will be based in Tectonics’ Las Vegas office and will officially begin his tenure on Sept. 28.

He joins Tectonics following a highly successful nine‐year career at Moss, where his roles included vice president, rentals and installation services and senior vice president, manufacturing and quality. Previously, he had served as general manager at Access TCA and as the president of Studio Stitchers, a company later acquired by Moss.

Tectonics CEO Lee Skandalaris is enthusiastic about Helfman’s new role.

“Tony knows our business and has a proven track record of quality, reliability and integrity,” Skandalaris said. “Serving customers nationally and growing our West Coast operation are major strategic initiatives for our company. Tony will provide great leadership for our business on the West Coast and be a key contributor to our executive management team. Our entire organization will benefit from the depth of his experience and his passion for our industry.”

Helfman is similarly pleased at the prospect of joining Tectonics.

“I am glad to be part of the continuing strong growth at Tectonics,” he said. “I am committed to ensuring that Tectonics is the most capable, responsive tension fabric structure producer in the business. Everyone will know that we are a company that can be depended upon, and that people enjoy working with.”

Both Skandalaris and Helfman view Tectonics Las Vegas operation as a key to the company’s future success. “West Coast operations will see tremendous growth, and Tectonics’ full‐service Las Vegas manufacturing facility will be a strategic location,” Helfman said. “Las Vegas provides the perfect opportunity for me to focus my twenty‐some years of learning and experience.”

“Tony has a proven track record of quality, reliability, and integrity,” Skandalaris said. “He has built operations in the Las Vegas area over the course of his career, and having him on board will bring great benefits to our customers in the region. We are proud to add an executive of Tony’s caliber to our team.”
