Studio Displays Inc., a full-service exhibit house located in Charlotte, N.C., announced that within the past year a senior-level employee received a promotion to design director.
John Beckman will be in charge of all of Studio Displays’ exhibit and graphic design operations.
“We are thrilled John accepted the opportunity to become our new design director,” said Lori Pope, director of operations, Studio Displays. “His fresh approach and creative direction have drastically increased our offerings and improved the way we interpret our client’s vision into the final designs of our client’s tradeshow exhibits and corporate environments.”
With his creative design abilities and more than 25 years of experience working in the tradeshow industry, Beckman has enhanced the creative process as well as the level and quality of designs Studio Displays is able to offer its clientele.
His creative vision and past experience in exhibit sales make him the ideal fit for this new position. Daily tasks include leading a group of designers in the process of understanding client goals and challenges, developing creative solutions to achieve those goals, and finding new and more cost effective ways to make the company’s clients stand out on the show floor.
Previously, Beckman spent nine years working for Studio Displays as an account executive where year after year he was one of the top sales representatives. Prior to his 10-year career at Studio Displays, he worked as an account executive at DID and at Exsel Exhibits. He began his career in the tradeshow industry as a project manager at J.B. Exhibit Services.
Beckman graduated from Illinois State University with his Bachelor of Science in Business Finance.
