Linda knows the city well and has strong ties to the hospitality and attractions community. She is a Cincinnati native and will be instrumental in taking next steps in growing the business in downtown Cincinnati,” said Ric Booth, general manager, DECC.

Jensen’s career path in the hotel industry began in Santa Fe, New Mexico and moved to Hilton Head, S.C. as director of sales and marketing in four- and five-star resorts. She moved to Cincinnati in 1993 and managed the re-branding of the former Clarion hotel, currently the Millennium. After her position at the Hilton Netherland Plaza, she moved to Paramount’s Kings Island where she worked for more than a decade, her final position as vice president of marketing and sales.

She joined Global Spectrum at DECC in 2006 as the assistant general manager and was instrumental in the transition to the existing management plan. Jensen left to return to the attractions industry as the vice president of marketing for Herschend Family Entertainment and then moved to Six Flags Corp., where she most recently held the top marketing position for Six Flags Atlanta Properties.

In all communities that she has worked in, Jensen has taken a leadership role with destination management groups, previously serving on the board of directors for Cobb County, South Cobb Council, as a member of the Atlanta CVB Attractions Committee and has been involved in numerous marketing organizations, including HSMAI and ASAE. She was part of developing the concept for the Regional Tourism Network in Cincinnati and was on Cincinnati CVB Marketing Committee.

Jensen joined the Duke Energy Convention Center team in March and will reside in Glendale.
