Atelier, a section dedicated to global textile designers and studios that primarily sell their surface designs, will return to SURTEX, taking place May 18-20 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
Offering prints, patterns, repeats and documents for product development needs across a multitude of categories, Atelier design studios hold a creative vision that peeks into the future of textile design. The success of this section since its debut in 2013 has created excitement and eagerness, resulting in returning and new exhibitors.
“The response to Atelier has been terrific, and with the growing demand for cutting-edge surface designs, we anticipate a very dynamic marketplace in May! Participants are eager to present their newest collections in the private and business conducive atmosphere that SURTEX provides,” said Penny Sikalis, vice president, GLM, and show manager, SURTEX.
Some 90 select studios from countries around the world, including the U.S., France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and the UK, will unveil their collections at SURTEX 2014.
“SURTEX is the only marketplace where manufacturers/retailers of textiles, wall coverings, floor coverings and a vast array of design-driven products can see the most and discover the best original surface designs under one roof, in one place – the design capital of the world, New York City,” added Sikalis.
