People on the Move (March 2015)


Scott Zeitlin came to Nimlok Chicago to join its production team. He will be managing daily activities for the storage program as well as show service logistics.

Sho-Link Incorporated made two employees happy campers this year. The company selected Lauren Benton as 2014 “Employee of the Year!” and promoted Colleen Johnson to vice president of business operations.

While we’re on the topic of promotions, Hargrove elevated two veteran executive directors to vice president positions. Congrats Ron Bracco and David Solsbery!

In sad news, the tradeshow industry lost one of the greats – Phil Ullo passed away on Dec. 30, 2014 at age 74. Ullo was best known for growing Reed Exhibitions as its president and chief operating officer.

EDPA welcomed its first-ever non-North American president. Robert Campbell took over the helm from Jay Burkette for 2015. Campbell is also vice president of Uniplan Group in Switzerland.

Further continuing outside of North America to Osaka, Japan, Idea International added two multilingual account managers. Haruka Matsuno hails from California, and Ian Michie is an Aussie.

As the new business development vice president for Freeman’s Exposition Division, Paul Cunniffe will provide the best solutions to clients and create meaningful connections for exhibitors and attendees.

After a record 2014, Shepard Exposition Services promoted two employees. Amy Taggart is now vice president of quality control and planning, and Steve Margos is general manager of Shepard Las Vegas.

Also experiencing growth, Group Delphi expanded its staff in response. Both Vice President of Marketing Cari Jacobs and Vice President of Operations John McKibben come from positions outside of the exhibits industry.

MG Design hired two 3D exhibit designers who are also recent college graduates. Both Danika Stelton and Clinton Honn made waves in the tradeshow industry prior to coming aboard.

Michael Dominguez, senior vice president of corporate sales for MGM Resorts International, took on additional duties as coalition co-chair for Meetings Mean Business Coalition.

Many CTSM earners were announced at this year’s EXHIBITORLIVE, and Colt Group CEO and Founder Robin C. Wilson was one of them. Studying for the certification since 2007, Wilson’s hard work finally paid off!

What’s a tradeshow without registration and lead retrieval services? Convention Data Services appointed John Hawley as chief technology officer. He will oversee all technology groups and lead the technology team.
