Origin Event Planning, a Las Vegas-based event management and production company, brought on a global ME&I travel manager.
For her new role, Laura Loppnow will work within the meetings, events and incentive market.

In 2009, Loppnow transitioned into hospitality by securing a job with a reputable Las Vegas destination management company. She accelerated from program coordinator to account manager to senior account manager in a few short years. At this company, she had the opportunity to learn invaluable skills, such as client and vendor management and complete program operations. Recent responsibilities included but were not limited to proposal drafting, site and vendor selection, staffing, transportation procurement, contract negotiations, invoicing, on-site operations, overall team management and mentoring up and coming program coordinators.
“My passion and dedication to this industry has now brought me the amazing opportunity to work for Origin Event Planning taking on a new and exciting role,” said Loppnow. “I’m looking forward to using the skills I have learned both through my education and subsequent career path to contribute to the growth and success of Origin Event Planning.”
She spent eight years in customer service and management with both Enterprise Car Rental and Sales and United Rentals Trench Safety. During her time with these companies, Loppnow managed teams of five to 25 employees training them in customer service skills, managing profit and loss, sales technique and marketing strategy among other critical business development skills.
Loppnow graduated at the very top of her class at Bay View High School in Milwaukee, Wis., where she was born and raised. She then attended Marquette University in her hometown on a variety of academic scholarships to pursue her passion for international business.
While attending the Universidad de Complutense in Madrid, Spain, on a study abroad program, she was integrated into the Spanish university system speaking, reading and writing exclusively in Spanish one semester. Loppnow returned to resume her studies at Marquette University with a greater understanding of the Spanish culture and a deeper command of the language.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Marquette College Business Administration focused on International Business and Marketing and a minor in Spanish.
After graduating, Loppnow moved to Las Vegas, which she has called home for more than 13 years.
