North American Meetings Industry Day offers education webinars announced

In conjunction with the inaugural North American Meetings Industry Day (NAMID), a gathering of meetings and events professionals from the U.S., Canada and Mexico to showcase the value of the MICE industry on April 16 in Washington, DC, American Express Meetings & Events will be hosting “Educate to Elevate,” a series of online education and sessions.

Focusing on individual meetings excellence will yield a massive financial benefit to our global economy when taken in total,” American Express said in a statement.

Each of the four sessions is limited to 100 attendees. The complimentary webinars can also be applied toward a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation.

Session 1 – 11:30-12:30 EST: “Global Hotel Developments: The Impact of thousands of New Meeting Destinations” presented by Rolf W. Schmidt, CEO, TopHotelProjects.com

Session 2 – 1:00-2:00 EST: “Stand for Your Brand” presented by Dave Gordon, team and corporate brand strategist

Session 3 – 2:30-3:30 EST: “Event Apps 101: 5 Things to Consider When Shopping for Event Apps” presented by Marisa Millard, channel account manager, DoubleDutch

Session 4 – 4:00-5:00 EST: “F&B: What You Don’t Know Can Be Risky” presented by Tracy Stuckrath, CSEP, CMM, CHC of Thrive Meetings & Events

A collaboration between Meetings Mean Business (MMB), the industry-wide communications and advocacy campaign, and the Convention Industry Council (CIC), the inaugural event advocates the value of meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive travel, tradeshows and exhibitions.
