NexxtShow announces Freedom Shipping

NexxtShow, a service-focused tradeshow partner to association and corporate professionals, has announced the launch of Freedom Shipping, a complete service that can reduce tradeshow shipping and material handling expenses by 20-30 percent.

Freedom Shipping combines drayage with shipping into a single, round-trip service with one invoice and no hidden fees. Separate drayage and shipping services and the unpredictability of fees have been an increasing area of concern and frustration for show managers and exhibitors seeking ways to control show costs.

“Freedom Shipping is a simple solution that lets you ship from your office to your booth on the show floor and back again with fewer hassles and 20 to 30 percent less cost,” said Matt Epstein, president, NexxtShow. “We’ve forever eliminated surprise invoices, waiting time fees, additional handling, and early/late to warehouse and overtime surcharges.”

Key components of Freedom Shipping include:

  • Combines drayage and shipping on a single invoice
  • Loading of shipment at origin
  • Transport to and unloading at the advance warehouse or show site
  • Delivery to booth
  • Removal and return of empty shipping containers/crates at show close
  • Reloading at show break
  • Delivery to the next/final destination

NexxtShow piloted Freedom Shipping with clients and exhibitors at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and Special Libraries Association (SLA) shows in Philadelphia earlier this year.

“The entire Freedom Shipping process through NexxtShow was quick, efficient and simplified,” said Veronica Dove, marketing manager, Bernan Associates, an exhibitor at SLA 2011. “There was always someone there to work with me and answer any question I had. Even without the cost difference, the streamlined concept would be worth using again and again. It made my job easier.”

Instant quotes, ordering, shipping and material-handling services for Freedom Shipping are processed through NexxtShow’s on-line system. In addition, exhibitors are offered “first on floor” priority, 30 days free storage prior to show move-in, and on-site support from NexxtShow’s shipping specialists. The company’s website also provides 24/7/365 tracking and monitoring of shipments before, during and after the show.

“We were a last minute exhibitor and this service allowed us to get our shipments to and from the show very easily,” said Brady Knight, outreach coordinator at The Bizworld Foundation, an exhibitor at ISTE 2011. “It was very convenient for us to use.”
