Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, one of Orlando’s iconic condominium-style resorts, is expanding its meeting offerings with the development of 20,000 square feet of new meeting and banquet space.
When construction of the new space is complete, the 3,000-villa resort will offer a total of 36,000 square feet of meeting space and a steakhouse ideal for group buyouts. Opening in February 2016, the space is now available for bookings, with special incentives for planners who book by Dec. 31, 2015.
The new meeting space will be on the top floor of the resort’s $20 million mixed-use development, which includes award-winning restaurants, a parking garage, retail shops and other entertainment venues.
The flexible space will accommodate up to 1,900 people and is divisible into eight rooms. In addition, a boardroom will offer ideal space for board retreats and executive meetings.
In addition to the new meeting space, two new dining options will be available for groups at Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa: a new destination steakhouse adjacent to the new meeting space and Drafts Sports Bar & Grill. Both will be venue options for meetings and private events.
Drafts Sport Bar & Grill is the perfect place to wind down with colleagues after a meeting and enjoy one of more than 50 beers from around the world, handcrafted burgers, stone-hearth pizzas and gourmet pub food.
Planners can choose from on-site entertainment venues, including a game room, two-lane bowling alley, a smokehouse, sports bar and an award-winning spa. Groups can also enjoy an array of outdoor sports and recreation, and even host a poolside event.
