NECA Chapters Seek Help for Contractors Devastated by California Wildfires

Areas in northern California with dozens of National Electrical Contractors Association contractors–including Sonoma County (Redwood Empire chapter) and Napa County (Northern California chapter) have been experiencing unprecedented hardships because of the wildfires there in recent weeks.

So far, at least 21 electricians/contractors have lost everything, according to Redwood Empire chapter manager Anisa Thomsen.

Thomsen said it will take months, if not years, to rebuild. Thousands of residents remain homeless, she added, but the outpouring from the electrical construction industry has been heartwarming.

People who want to help can donate to: Redwood Empire LMCC, 7 Fourth St., Suite 37, Petaluma, CA 94952 or Napa/Solano LMCC, 5934 Gilbraltar Drive, Suite 205, Pleasanton, CA 94588-2792.

Thomsen said she and Greg Armstrong, the chapter manager for the Northern California chapter, will make sure it gets to those in need. Gift cards in small denominations are welcome.
