Moscow reports increased participation at rehabilitation tradeshow

In its fourth iteration, the Integration.Life.Society. 2014 tradeshow in Moscow reported the growing interest of the disabled and their need for everyday solutions in Russia.

Increased exhibitor and visitor participation demonstrated the country’s commitment to helping the disabled lead an integrated social life and become largely independent. The City of Moscow has aimed to be barrier-free by 2020.

“Visitor numbers are very satisfactory,” said Sergej Kischkinskij, marketing director of OTTO BOCK. “Our seminar, which took place on the main stage for the first time, was perfectly organized, and even the size of the audience surprised us – we’re already planning to participate in the next event.”

Presenting the latest products and information for daily life, workplace mobility and household living to some 3,700 visitors, 150 exhibitors came from Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Taiwan and the U.S. The focus of the event was on innovative assistive technologies, concepts, therapies and leisure activities as well as security and monitoring systems, physiotherapy and orthopedic aids.

In addition to renowned exhibitors, major institutions and organizations were also represented at Integration.Life.Society. 2014.

Held in conjunction with the tradeshow was the two-day, sixth International Moscow Governmental Conference Equal Rights – Equal Opportunities, that featured well-known speakers discussing the latest possibilities for the disabled to participate in society and different aspects of accessible construction.

Integration.Life.Society. 2014 was organized by Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf Moscow. Messe Düsseldorf is renowned as the organizers REHACARE, the leading international trade fair in the rehabilitation and care sector, held annually in Düsseldorf, Germany. The Integration.Life.Society. product portfolio has been tailored specifically to the demands of the Russian market.

Integration.Life.Society. 2015 will take place again in Moscow from April 22-24.
