MG Design Associates announces additions

MG Design Associates is pleased to announce the addition of Frank Marino and Marci Banks to its team. The firm’s growth comes as MG Design has had a stellar year, recently winning the prestigious 2010 Sizzle award for integrated marketing and taking best of show at Exhibitor2010.

Marino has 15-plus years in the tradeshow industry rooted in show management and more recently with custom exhibit houses. He entered the tradeshow industry working for CMP Media on PC Expo at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

Once introduced to the IT industry, Marino quickly found his passion. He has continued to work in the IT industry after he was spotted managing tradeshows by an exhibit house and convinced to use his talents on the vendor side where he has served clients such as Ebay, the New York Times, GE Security and Cargill.

“One of the trends we are hearing for 2011 exhibits is leveraging more technology into exhibit experiences,” said Gail Behun, vice president of sales, MG Design. “Marino has been working closely with the companies who are introducing these technologies and he knows how to maximize their effectiveness on the show floor. With the tech sector showing strong growth indicators, we are excited to have an experienced leader focusing on this industry.”

From the office of Austin, Texas, Marino will report to Behun and service national clients.

“I like to empower my clients,” said Marino. “When we first sit down, I like to review what they have done, what’s working and how we can move forward. Working for MG Design opens up more solutions that I can offer clients in solving their challenges. Few companies understand how to implement the fourth element into tradeshow programs; MG Design understands its integration and has the resources to successfully make it happen.”

Marci Banks

Marci Banks has recently re-joined MG Design as corporate account director. Banks has extensive industry experience having served in key roles for several industry companies in addition to her earlier tenure with MG Design.

In her new role at MG Design, Banks is responsible for managing the company’s global program for healthcare giant BD. Banks is based out of MG Design’s headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.

MG Design President John Patten welcomed Banks back to the company in this new role, explaining that Banks’ invaluable expertise and enthusiasm are the perfect fit for her to serve as MG Design’s corporate account director for BD, Eyemaginations and Imedex.

“As part of the BD team, Banks brings additional marketing fire power to BD’s extensive domestic and global programs and to MG Design’s dedicated team.” said Patton. “It’s a winning combination all around.”
