Meliá Hotels International, one of the largest hotel companies worldwide, delightedly appointed a new general manager.
Bringing 20 years of hotel industry experience to the team is Juan Asin, who has held a number of senior posts, both with Meliá Hotels International and other major companies, such as Park Hyatt and Westin, in London and abroad.
“Juan is one of the very best general managers we have in the group, and we are delighted that he will now be leading the team at our flagship hotel, ME London. The hotel had a very successful launch year in 2013, and Juan is just the character, with his passion, experience and drive, to ensure that this success continues,” said Alex Hugot, vice president, ME by Meliá.
Previously, Asin worked as the general manager of Meliá Luxemburg for a number of years, and before that, hotel manager of Meliá White House. He is known for his excellent leadership and motivational skills, always getting the very best from his team. He is results-driven and adapts quickly to any given situation, seeking out solutions while being approachable and seeking support from his team.
“Having worked for Meliá for the past seven years, it is an honor to now be heading up the flagship property, ME London. I have an excellent team working with me, and I am excited about the challenge that lies ahead,” stated Asin.
Asin graduated from Cornell University. He is fluent in four languages and enjoys cycling and other sports in his spare time.
