Louisville CVB appoints new employee and promotes another

Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau appointed a convention sales manager to the Convention Development Department and promoted another employee.

Dana Metzler will be responsible for small group meetings and conventions with 300 rooms, or less, on peak nights. Her markets include sports, trade business and commercial, hobby and direct selling.

Before coming to the Bureau, Metzler was a sales coordinator for the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. Before that, she was a sales representative for JAM Brands.

Metzler is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a B.S. in Business. The appointment was effective Aug. 10.

The Bureau has promoted Andrea Hamblen to national sales manager in the Convention Development Department.

Before her promotion, Hamblen was a convention sales manager responsible for small group meetings and conventions, a position she has held since joining the Bureau in August 2013.

In her new position, Hamblen will be responsible for group meetings and conventions with 301 rooms, or more, on peak nights. Her markets include corporate, agriculture, fraternal, veterans, reunions and public affairs.

Hamblen is a graduate of Indiana University Southeast with a B.S. in Business.

The promotion was effective July 27.
