Life after LIVE…Marketing, that is

Elaine Cohen, founder of Live Marketing, was honored May 13, 2015, by the Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) when the organization named a tap studio in her honor.

One of Cohen’s passions, CHRP builds community through American tap and contemporary percussive arts in world class, innovative performance, education, and outreach programs. The Elaine Cohen Studio for Tap is located in CHRP’s space, the American Dance Center, in the Fine Arts Building at 410 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago.

Cohen, an EDPA Hazel Hayes award winner, introduced Live Marketing to the tradeshow industry 40 years ago with a strategic focus on building booth traffic intelligently and organically. For many years, this took the form of live presentations at tradeshows, and more recently, technology has enhanced the company’s offerings.

Having sold the company to its current owner, Anne Trompeter, in 2014, Cohen has been able to devote more time to her board position at CHRP, to her volunteer work at Columbia College in Chicago, and to her latest passion, investing in Broadway productions.
