Laser Exhibitor Service opens office in Hawaii

Laser Exhibitor Service is opening a new office and warehouse to service tradeshows, conferences and special events throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Located in Honolulu, the new branch is owned and managed by Rick and Eileen Orr, owners of Laser’s San Francisco area office, Legacy Exhibitor Service.

With its headquarters in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Laser Exhibitor Service is a full-service, owner-operated company that has been providing exhibitor services throughout the United States, Canada and Europe for more than 20 years. The company specializes in smaller markets such as Denver, Minneapolis, Portland, Palm Springs, San Antonio, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Santa Fe and Tucson. It also has offices in the larger conference destinations of Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami, the Bay Area, Southern California and three offices in

Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, Canada.

Other services provided by Laser Exhibitor Service include museum and retail installations, shipping, warehousing, exhibit rental and corporate meetings and special event management.

“We were receiving calls asking us if we knew of anybody (an I&D company) that could service Honolulu and we didn’t,” said Les Bunge, who founded Laser Exhibit Service in 1991. “We finally decided to open an office in Honolulu ourselves.”

Unlike many installation and dismantle (I&D) companies with multiple locations, Laser Exhibitor Services does not employ city managers. Each office is independently owned and managed and draws its labor locally.

Although the Orrs will remain in San Francisco for now, they, or another Laser Exhibitor Service office owners, will travel to Honolulu for all events. The Orrs anticipate moving to the island in the future.

“Laser will provide great I&D customer service, covering all of the Hawaiian Islands, with a combination of experienced local labor and mainland supervision,” Rick Orr said.
