KEEN Inc., manufacturer of hybrid footwear, socks, and bags, earned a Best of Booth (BOB) Award from SNEWS, a news source for the outdoor and fitness industries, for its new tradeshow exhibit at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2010. The exhibit, detailed, engineered and fabricated by Greenspace, conveyed the KEEN ideology through reclaimed, recycled and repurposed materials including walls built out of used pallets and a stage made from used stadium bleachers. Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2010 was held in early August in Salt Lake City, Utah.

SNEWS named the KEEN exhibit as its Top BOB. The exhibit was designed by the Department of Energy, a Greenspace partner, and features graphic elements designed by Zimco.

“[The exhibit’s] 5,400-square-foot size made it impressive,” reported the publication. “But it was the brilliant use of reclaimed, recycled and repurposed materials that set it apart and won KEEN its third Top BOB Award.”

“The KEEN factor, which embodies our brand and values, is stamped on every inch of the booth,” said Dave Munk, sponsorships and tradeshows manager for KEEN Events.

The exhibit replaced a smaller unit and enabled KEEN to house its at-show public events, including its annual Conservation Alliance Fundraiser, a footwear sale for charity, right in the exhibit.

Other materials incorporated in the KEEN exhibit were doors harvested from abandoned buildings, tables crafted from discarded car hoods and old skateboard decks, couches upholstered from reclaimed auto seat fabric and license plates reinvented into product display shelves.
