International Restaurant & Foodservice Show adds ‘The Pub’

Sponsored by the New York State Restaurant Association and managed and produced by Urban Expositions, International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York will open March 8 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York. Over 16,000 restaurant and foodservice industry professionals will gather to see and sample thousands of products, services and equipment from more than 500 leading vendors, and participate in over 40 educational programs and special events.

To feature more than 550 leading vendors, the exhibit hall will showcase thousands of new products and services with several specialty areas including Dessert Cart Pavilion, Gourmet Way Pavilion and Pride of New York/Taste NY. Culinary Demonstration Theater features an educational, interactive and entertaining area with celebrity chefs.

A new area at “The Pub” will showcase dozens of innovative craft beverages including craft beer, cider, wine, spirits, wine sorbae, moonshine and whiskey. One of the top 5 trends for restaurants is alcohol sales with a focus on micro-distilled/artisan liquor, locally produced beer/spirits, onsite barrel-aged drinks, culinary cocktails, and regional signature cocktails.

The 3rd Annual Farm to City Expo will take place on March 10 from 12-2:30 pm and will focus on “Going with the Grain: The Renaissance of NYS Grain Production.” A New Product Showcase is to provide a first look at the latest products to hit the marketplace.

Other events include Pride of New York/Taste NY Marketplace, Ferdinand Metz Foodservice Forum, Women’s Entrepreneur Circle, JRO Umami Pavilion, Food Trends Experience, US Pastry Competition and a book signing.
