Starkey Laboratories’ mobile Listening Lounge is stopping in over 20 cities from the West to East Coast.

Highlights from the month of September
1873 The first ever exposition held in a German-speaking country was Weltausstellung 1873 Wien—Vienna Exposition 1873. It ran right through the month of September in Vienna, Austria. Although there were many types of exhibits, jewelry seemed to peak the interests of W.C. Aitken who produced a report which read, “Among the most brilliant and dazzling displays in the Vienna exhibition is that of jewelry. Within its limits it includes the ear or nose ornament, and necklet of the savage, formed with shells, fish scales, human teeth, seeds, berries or nuts, roughly perforated strung or connected together with vegetable fibre or bits of wire, for the adornment of dusky-skinned beauty.”-Aitken

Some people are lucky to find and follow their passion in the form of a career path early in life. For Jim Wurm, executive director of the Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association (EACA), it came just in time.
In 1982, Wurm was at a crossroads when he was laid off from the headhunting firm he worked for in Atlanta. He networked with friends, hoping to find something different, something that would professionally excite him.

Exhibit City News was on hand at the opening reception for the Casino Marketing conference, July 19-21, at Paris Las Vegas. The reception was held in the exhibit hall which played host to 25 exhibitors and 300 attendees. More than 100 different gaming operators and other companies involved in the gaming industry attended this year's event. The conference is a hard-hitting, straight-talking, no-holds-barred senior-level forum that addresses marketing challenges across all facets of the gaming industry, including commercial casinos, tribal casinos and racetrack casinos.
