Five finalists will compete to provide full design services for the proposed expansion of the San Diego Convention Center.
Five architectural design teams, comprised of award-winning local and national architectural and design professionals, have been invited by the San Diego Convention Center Corporation (SDCCC) to submit conceptual design studies and fee proposals to provide full design services for the proposed expansion of the San Diego Convention Center.

A new exhibition center in Augusta, Ga. provides combined meeting and exhibition space along with guest accommodations under one roof. Ground breaking for the Augusta Marriott Hotel and Convention Center was held in June and the facility is tentatively set to open in 2012.

One of the first conventions to take advantage of the enhanced Destination Columbus package is the Southern Baptist Convention.
The Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority (FCCFA), in partnership with Hilton Worldwide, broke ground on the new Hilton Columbus Downtown located in Columbus, Ohio. The project is collaborative among the Franklin County Commissioners, FCCFA, City of Columbus, and Nationwide Realty Investors, Inc.
