EWI Worldwide works with Coca-Cola at OlympicsDETROIT – EWI Worldwide, a global, live communications company based in Detroit (and formerly known as Exhibit Works), was recently involved in the production of the Coca-Cola Pavilion at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Called the “Shuang Experience Center,” the 45,000-square-foot pavilion was the flagship structure for Coca-Cola’s sponsorship at the games and was highly popular with visitors.

Working in close partnership with Momentum Worldwide, EWI Worldwide provided creative development for several interior spaces, and also led the production and installation of all interior and exterior graphics,  signage, exhibits, thematic elements and interiors.

“It’s an honor to help bring an iconic brand like Coca-Cola to life at an event of this magnitude,” said Dominic Silvio, chief executive EWIofficer of EWI Worldwide. “Being tapped to work with the biggest brand in the world, at the biggest event in the world, is a strong sign that our international growth is making excellent progress.”

With the pavilion featuring numerous exhibit displays, multimedia theatres, media centers, press and VIP areas, visitors to the Shuang Experience Center were engagingly immersed in the story of Coca-Cola’s Olympic heritage, its commitment to environmental responsibility and the passion surrounding the Coca-Cola brand in China and throughout the world.

As a matter of historical interest, Coca-Cola first entered China in EWI and Coca-Cola at the Olympics1927, one year before it began its long run as an Olympic sponsor.

According to Silvio, the Coca-Cola pavilion project has set the stage for additional opportunities to work with major brands at the 2010 World Expo, which will be held in Shanghai, China.

“As one of only two U.S.-based companies officially selected as recommended exhibition vendors for the World Expo, we have a tremendous opportunity to build upon this Olympic experience to develop some unique spaces for companies exhibiting in Shanghai in 2010,” he said.

He added that his company offers daily inspiration to people around the world at www.yourstoryalive.com, a live communications blog developed by EWI’s creative staff.

EWI Worldwide (www.ewiworldwide. com) was founded in 1979. It supports a diverse group of clients across multiple industries and has offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Winston- Salem and Shanghai, plus resource partners worldwide.
