DENVER, Colo. – Gino Pellegrini has been selected as Exhibit Designer of the year by the Exhibit Designers and Producers Association (EDPA). Pellegrini was selected based on his innovative designs and his contribution to enhancing the professional standards of exhibit designers. The EDPA represents those involved in the design, manufacture, transport, installation and service of displays in exhibits across the world. Pellegrini was selected over thousands of designers who create exhibits every year. He was named designer of the year at EDPA’s annual conference and supplier showcase in December in Miami. EDPA selected Pellegrini based on his passion for the exhibit industry, his creativity, and his ability to mentor young designers. Pellegrini’s path to creating stellar exhibits is an interesting story. His design career began in Chile, but not in exhibit design. He was designing furniture for his family business when he was persuaded by a family friend to design an exhibit. The experience ignited his career in the industry. He began his exhibit design company in 1994 in Santiago and moved Inter-Global Exhibitions’ headquarters to Denver in 1996. His projects have taken him from Africa to the Middle East. His eye for clean, sophisticated cultural sensitivities, and the unique on-site demands each convention center brings has instilled a confidence in his domestic and international clients that their brand will shine in its best possible light. “Gino’s passion for design leads him to create pieces of art, which also happen to be tradeshow exhibits,” said Tom Walje, of the business development department of Inter-Global Exhibitions. In announcing the award EDPA shared testimonials from his clients and peers. “Gino is a true designer at heart, and his designs reflect this,” Victoria Sun, graphic designer, Inter-Global Exhibitions was quoted. “As a young designer, I greatly appreciate the talent and insight he brings to every design and have learned so very much working with him.” Founded in 1954 EDPA is an internationally recognized national trade association with more than 400 corporate members from 18 countries that are engaged in the design, manufacture, transport, installation and service of displays and exhibits primarily for the exhibition and event industry, www.edpa.com One of the world's best global exhibit firms, Inter-Global Exhibitions (IGE) has been providing companies complete exhibit solutions since 1994.
