IMN Solutions names VP of Association Services

IMN Solutions, a full-service association and meeting management organization, named a new vice president of Association Services.

IMN Solutions_ Barbara A. Myers (192x240)The addition of Barbara A. Myers, CAE, a dynamic association, event and exhibition executive, supports the expansion of the company’s brand with its recent launches of IMN Association Management, LLC and IMN Event Solutions, LLC.

“Barbara’s in-depth association knowledge, natural strategic instinct and solid background in leadership, marketing communications and event development will provide our clients with cutting-edge strategies and solutions needed to be successful in the association industry,” Jack Sammis, CEO, IMN Solutions.

As vice president of Association Services, Myers will work closely with the IMN executive team, including Brian Knapp, president; Bill Hudson, COO; and Lawson Hockman, vice president of Industry Relations, to develop and refine the breadth of the organization and meeting management services to better and more completely serve all IMN clients and to fulfill the IMN strategic plan.

Holding key leadership positions in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors during her 15-year career, Myers previously served as vice president of professional development with the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). In this role, she developed a strategic revitalization plan, which has repositioned the Society for greater success in achieving its professional development goals, specifically in the areas of integrated product marketing communications and event management.

Myers has also served as chief operations officer for the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International during which she led the organization through a strategic rebranding initiative, launched a corporate partnership program, implemented numerous event innovations and launched an international global congress. She also worked as chief account strategist for Frost Miller Group, where she was responsible for orchestrating and developing marketing and communication strategies for associations and exhibitions.

She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), where she also serves on the Marketing Section Council; the International Association of Exhibition and Events (IAEE), where she served on the Future Trends Task Force, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), where she serves on the Research Committee; and the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA).

Myers is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland and is pursuing a Master of Nonprofit Management at the University of Central Florida.
