ICCA has announced the finalists for this year’s ICCA Best Marketing Award, taking place at the 52nd ICCA Congress in Shanghai, China. The upcoming ICCA Congress will attract the biggest attendance by far for an ICCA Congress venue outside Europe.
The ICCA Best Marketing Award, established in 1997, recognizes the excellence and outstanding achievements of organizations in their effort to market their destination or product. Entries can range from full scale campaigns and branding exercises to individual promotions and events. The ICCA Best Marketing Award is sponsored by Bedouk Meetings & Events Media and is open to ICCA members only.
The 2013 ICCA Best Marketing Award finalists are:
- Gdansk Convention Bureau
- Melbourne Convention Bureau
- Palais des Congres de Montreal
These finalists will present their successful marketing campaigns at the 52nd ICCA Congress from Nov. 2-6 in the Shanghai International Convention Center.
“It’s a great spread of finalists, both geographically with three continents represented and in terms of the size and scope of the entries, ranging from wildly innovative low-budget promotional projects to ambitiously large-scale branding strategies,” said Martin Sirk, CEO, ICCA. “All of them have fantastic learning ideas for the audience at the Congress.”
“Bedouk is proud to be sponsoring the 16th edition of the Best Marketing Awards,” said Simone Sfeir, general manager, Bedouk Event Sourcing Solutions, and co-presenter of the Award Ceremony. “We are very happy to once again acknowledge great examples of innovation and creativity, research and rationale, return on investment and success in meeting the objectives of marketing strategies of ICCA members.”
More than 900 senior representatives from 60 countries of the world’s leading suppliers to the international meetings industry have signed up for the 52nd ICCA Congress. This is by far the biggest attendance for an ICCA Congress venue outside Europe. ICCA is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, which will end with a climactic Gala evening at the ICCA Congress in Shanghai.
