IAEE’s Women’s Leadership Forum in Full Swing for May 2 in Oxon Hill, Maryland

IAEE-Womens-LeadershipThe International Association of Exhibitions and Events will hold its annual Women’s Leadership Forum on 2 May 2017 in Oxon Hill, Md. This forum focuses on topics that are unique to professional women, and provides knowledge and strategies for attendees to succeed in their current positions as well as motivation and inspiration to take their career to the next level.

This year’s themes center on: RESTORE, RESONATE, REACH, REMAIN, RESILIENCE and REINVENTION. Attendees will learn to RESTORE and take care of themselves both physically and mentally; develop strategies to protect themselves and network with others to RESONATE their leadership values; participate in a lively discussion on how women are changing American and their REACH on politics and the economy; gain tips on how to REMAIN financially focused; understand how you to maintain RESILIENCE when life introduces disruptions; and develop the skill of REINVENTION for better adaptability, humor and happiness.

This year IAEE has added a full slate of pre-forum activities on 1 May including a Personal Safety class with Mark Herrera from IAVM, networking reception with the IAEE Washington, D.C. chapter, headshot opportunity with Oscar & Associates, and a panel discussion led by Cathy Breden, CMP, CAE, with panelists Julie Coker Graham, Gary Shapiro and Andy Smith.

2 May is the full day of leadership programming with:

  • REINVENT yourself with Christine Cashen, CSP to be more adaptable and learn how to find your personal grit and be able to find humor and happiness in who you are and what you do.
  • RESTORE with Debi Silber, MS, RD, WHC, FDN who will provide tips on how to take care of yourself both physically and mentally for a healthier you.
  • Discuss how women are changing the way America works and their REACH on politics and economy with Jay Newton-Small.
  • REMAIN financially focused with Jocelyn D. Wright, MBA, CFP who will provide strategies on how to protect yourself from financial challenges.
  • Learn how networking with others will RESONATE your leadership values from Terri Ammerman.
