International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), a large association for show organizers, exhibitors and suppliers, will team up with International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) to examine convention center lease agreements. In a mutual effort to create a new set of best practices, the associations will draft more uniform contractual language.
Officials with both organizations will attempt to combine efforts of venue managers, exhibition organizers and legal experts to create various contract clauses that can be used as “standards” in lease agreements.
David DuBois, president and CEO, IAEE, shared that the task force are dedicated to creating guidelines that will have real impact on the industry.
“The IAEE volunteer leadership and staff teams are thrilled to work closely with our exhibitions industry partners at IAVM to develop new and improved best practices and processes for convention center lease agreements,” said DuBois.
Final conclusions and recommendations of the task force will be published in a future white paper.
