The International Association of Exhibitions and Events proudly announces its 2016 Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund Grant Recipients who will be recognized during Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held 6-8 December 2016 in Anaheim, Calif.

The Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund supports exhibitions and events industry education and professional development by providing a challenging and engaging educational experience. The fund is designed for young professionals, professionals new to the exhibitions and events industry, those that are intellectually curious about trends and opportunities, and those that are interested in learning about the global marketplace. Applicants for grants were required to submit detailed information regarding their employment and experience in the exhibitions and events industry, as well as their intent for continued education and development of their career.

“It is gratifying to see exhibitions and events industry professionals striving to be the best they can be,” said 2016 Chairperson of the IAEE Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund Task Force Janet Levy. “It is a great tribute to the enthusiasm Bob had for our industry, and it is an honor to contribute to these individuals’ professional development.”

The 2016 Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund Grant Recipients are:

Anthony Caterina Faculty Member University of Houston, Conrad N. Hilton College IAEE Member, U.S.A.

“I look forward to learning from each CEM course so I can share that information with our students.”

Sai Chand Project Incharge HITEX Exhibition Centre IAEE Member, India

“A great man said, ‘If you have to make a mark in this world, either make people’s lives easier or happier.’ Bill Gates made it easier with Windows OS; Shel Dorf and others made it happier with Comic Con. I choose the Comic Con way. However, being in India and working for an exhibition center, I always wondered if I will ever be able to create something like that. But this grant liberates all the doubts I had, and I am sure I will be a better show manager after coming to Expo! Expo! Thanks IAEE for approving my grant; I cannot ask anything more than this. I look forward to meeting and learning from the gurus of the industry.”

Christine Frye, CTA Sales Representative National Trade Productions, Inc. IAEE Member, U.S.A.

“I am very grateful for the generous support of the Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund Grant. I look forward to upholding the legacy of Mr. Dallmeyer and growing into an industry leader by completing my CEM.”

Loresa Novy Senior Event Services Manager Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services IAEE Member, U.S.A.
