Hill & Partners, a full-service team of branded environment specialists, was presented with a Gold Hermes Creative Award for its Rental Branded Environment designed on behalf of Samsonite at this year’s International Travel Goods Show in Las Vegas. The team of branded environment specialists was recognized with the Gold Award in the Trade Show Exhibit category.
The Hermes Creative Award recognizes creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies in an international competition.
“This was our third consecutive year working with Samsonite at TGA and we aimed to evolve our previous efforts into a highly cohesive, impactful and functional Branded Environment that worked to achieve Samsonite’s show objectives,” said Michael McMahon, president, Hill & Partners. “It’s always an honor to work on behalf of the best in the business and we look forward to extending our role in the continual development and success of Samsonite as a company.”
Hill & Partners constructed an 80 x 80, two-story tradeshow exhibit to achieve Samsonite’s needs. Samsonite desired a branded environment that exhibited a variety of product lines and brands, creating a more hands-on experience. Hill & Partners’ design solution offered a Rental Branded Environment, customized to create Samsonite’s own branded space with window product displays highlighting their two product lines: MIGHTlight and Sphere 2.
The space was designed with great attention to strategic flow. Guests were welcomed into the booth through the front entryway and taken on a tour through the various product sections. Two key sub-brands were given their own feature areas: American Tourister aimed to promote its Disney and Star Wars product, while Reebok’s CrossFit was given a mini-branded environment to show its new licensing agreement. A highlight of the booth was the Star Wars product line as real Star Wars characters escorted Samsonite’s company president into the booth to entertain guests.
The end result was one cohesive functional branded environment. Guests were able to enjoy the booth, and then proceed to private meeting rooms to discuss products more in depth. Hill & Partners was able to successfully create an environment that enabled Samsonite sales team members to navigate the booth while creating a hands-on experience with the products.
