Exhibitors are discovering that the use of modular properties expands design possibilities and capitalizes on the potential of their cubic content while remaining budget friendly. On Jan. 14, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held in Ft. Wayne, Ind., to mark the opening of a new building that the firm will use for warehousing. It will also be the location for the assembly and deployment of its extensive rental inventory of modular double deck/multi-level ExpoDeck products and its ExpoWall wall panel systems.
Increasing demand for modular rental properties has necessitated this expansion. Twenty-five thousand square feet have been added to Highmark’s fabrication facility, effectively doubling the company’s capacity where it manufactures and assembles its complete line. The new building features 34-foot high ceilings, large open bays, multiple shipping bays and the extensive reliance on natural lighting.
According to Mick Parrott, CEO, Highmark TechSystems, “This new facility will greatly enhance Highmark’s operational efficiencies. We will be able to offer our customers quicker response and faster turnaround on complex projects. The first month of 2014 has seen an incredible demand for our products, and we want to be able to accommodate our customers.”
The ribbon cutting was also the occasion to launch Highmark’s new company slogan: Make it Happen!
“Our new slogan,” said Parrott, “captures the ‘can do’ spirit at Highmark.”
