HCEA creates new 2012 summit program

An interactive panel of healthcare professionals discussing their views of healthcare exhibitions and a team of healthcare convention marketing experts sharing thoughts on industry transparency issues are elements of the newly updated 2012 Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA) Healthcare Convention Marketing Summit. The meeting, to be held January 19, 2012, at the Hyatt Harborside at Boston’s Logan International Airport, provides an original forum for attendees to personalize their learning experiences, showcasing interactive education focused on strategic marketing needs.

Learning opportunities include the following sessions:

  • Frank Talk About How Physicians Value Medical Meetings and Conventions

Attendees will hear candid firsthand accounts of what healthcare professionals do and don’t find effective in healthcare exhibitions, and come away armed with new insight into what factors into their decisions to visit the exhibit hall.

  • Healthcare Exhibitions and Interpreting Transparency – An Expert Panel Discussion

The term transparency has been increasingly used in a variety of contexts surrounding healthcare exhibitions. This highly interactive panel discussion will share experiences and opinions about transparency and its industry significance.

  • Technology Mash-Up: Using Technology as a Learning Tool

A variety of healthcare convention industry professionals will present a series of brief case studies to discuss how they used technology to further their organizations’ learning goals during this interactive course.

  • The Master Plan: Shifting to a Strategic Marketing Mindset

What impact will becoming more strategic have on your healthcare convention marketing program? You’ll hear from two experienced professionals who will facilitate a discussion about their strategic exhibit marketing experiences, generating expanded conversation about moving from a focus on logistics to one of being more strategic.
