Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA), which values conventions for the healthcare industry, brought on a new leader.
To stay on a path of reinvention with new initiatives focused on membership growth, value and education, HCEA appointed Mike Pennington as executive vice president. A seasoned association and event management professional, he will focus on strategic direction, goals and achievements.
“Mike brings an incredibly valuable set of skills, with 16 years of experience, including more than nine years of association and organizational management,” said Sue Huff, president, HCEA. “With a host of exciting initiatives, HCEA is fortunate to have Mike strengthen our already committed team.”
Pennington previously was president of the Georgia Economic Developers Association where he oversaw day-to-day operations, notably in staff management, volunteer leadership, marketing, business development and event strategy.
