Hargrove Inc., the award-winning design and general contractor for events, tradeshows and custom and rental exhibits, produced seven inaugurations across the country culminating this past election season.
Hargrove Vice President — Events Ron Bracco stated that the company won the right to stage swearing-in ceremonies and other celebratory festivities for gubernatorial inaugurations in Oklahoma, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and the company’s home state of Maryland. In addition, Hargrove staged inauguration festivities for County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III of Prince Georges, County, Md. and Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser.

“Inaugurations are important ceremonies within the fabric of American politics,” Bracco said. “They signify the peaceful transition of power from one leader to the next and allow their constituencies to salute the past and celebrate the future.”
Inaugural festivities that Hargrove orchestrated included swearing-in ceremonies, parades, prayer breakfasts and luncheons, commemorative concerts and various galas and balls.
“Different inaugural committees demand different events as well as varied levels of pomp and ceremony,” Bracco continued. “The Hargrove team is particularly adept at meeting, and surpassing, their design and decorum needs.”
Hargrove has a rich history with inaugurations, having been involved with every presidential inauguration since Harry S. Truman’s second one in 1949. The company has been the Official Inaugural General Services Contractor for all aspects of presidential inaugural events since 1993, effectively running as many as 58 events in 38 locations in a five-day period.
