Hargrove names SVP tradeshows and exhibits

Hargrove, a national leader in the tradeshow, event and exhibit industries, named its new senior vice president for tradeshows and exhibits.

With more than 27 years of professional sales and leadership experience, Dan Cole was most recently vice president of business development for the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the organization that produces it–the Consumer Electronics Association.

“Bringing Dan on to the Hargrove executive team is a tremendous coup for our organization. His background is stellar, and he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, which will not only drive our business in the future, but will also greatly enhance our sales and account management team’s effectiveness and professional growth,” stated Tim McGill, CEO, Hargrove.

Cole began his career in the tradeshow industry in 1992 as a national accounts manager for National Trade Productions, progressing there to sales director and went on to hold a number of important executive positions at companies, such as Advanstar and Yellowbrix.

“Dan Cole brings outstanding, award-winning experience to Hargrove. This is a huge addition for us. I worked with Dan at National Trade Productions, and am very excited about his joining Hargrove leadership team. His insight and background will no doubt help the company grow and enhance our visibility and reach in the industries we serve,” said Diana Simmons, chief operating officer and executive vice president, Hargrove.

Cole has won numerous sales and leadership awards, including IAEE’s most outstanding sales and marketing executive, the International Business Awards’ most outstanding sales executive, and was recognized by Dealerscope Magazine’s “40 under 40.”

A highly sought after writer, speaker and sales trainer in the tradeshow industry, Cole is enthusiastic about his move to Hargrove.

“Hargrove is all about creating an unforgettable experience. I am convinced that they have mastered the power of experiential marketing. They transform tradeshows and exhibit design using the same creativity that’s been responsible for larger -than-life immersive events like presidential inaugural festivities and NATO summits to corporate events as impressive as Bud Light’s Whatever, USA and Nike’s XX9 Air Jordan shoe release.. I could not be more excited about this opportunity,” added Cole.

As one of the top general contractors in the U.S., Hargrove produces a myriad tradeshows, events and custom exhibits throughout North America.
