FWR Rental Haus splashes color with stylish furnishings

Offering unique, colorful furnishings that brighten up to 100 events or tradeshows a year, FWR Rental Haus does it all. It re-upholsters, paints, fabricates and stores its vast inventory in its 50,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Las Vegas. Its showroom also allows potential clients to envision what pieces complement their events.

FWR employees take pride in offering unique rental pieces that won’t break the bank. Account Representative Melissa Laughridge shared how the company’s growth is intertwined with its ability to meet customer demand.

How did FWR Rental Haus come about?

FWR started because of the need for great designs. Designers were coming to us with a specific style. We noticed they wanted more colorful options and more unique pieces for various looks. So much time, planning, money and energy goes into events. To create a unique experience, you need unique items whether it’s modern, organic, steampunk, Danish –you name it! We try to go over a variety of looks for designers and project managers to choose.

When was FWR founded and how has it grown since it opened?

FWR started five years ago with only 25,000 square feet of inventory. Since then, we have doubled in size and facilities –from Arizona, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego jobs to our headquarters here in Las Vegas.

Did the company form out of more demand for rental furnishings in the events industry?

Yes, and for the need for personal service and variety, not to mention great style!

What are the benefits of renting from FWR versus buying? Are there cost savings?

Absolutely, everyone wants to use something new to stand out rather than the same things over and over again. So you can continue to dip into our inventory for various styles. We have a large quantity already in stock, which is great for last-minute additions and changes. There is a huge savings in renting versus buying, and you can continue to introduce new elements into your events to keep things fresh with your clients.

What determines the type and style of furniture that FWR offers?

We are currently introducing some new pieces into the mix that no other rental company offers. We want your agency to stand out and offer the latest trends. We will continue to introduce new barstools, chairs, bars and sofas to the market.

Does the company have European influences in terms of its name and furnishings?

Absolutely, if we are inspired by a piece, chances are our clients will be too! We pride ourselves in keeping up with trends and top designers worldwide, so we can bring new pieces to our clients.

How does FWR collaborate with clients to pick the best colors and designs for their event?

Our account representatives love collaborating if needed and have an extensive knowledge of our inventory, so they can [offer] some great advice to streamline the process. We also have a fabric bar in our [Las Vegas] showroom with thousands of upholstery options and can easily re-upholster items to meet corporate brand guidelines.

We recently fabricated 300 new sofas based on a client’s own designs. We matched eight PMS colors and mailed them samples until we decided on the perfect match. We saved the client thousands of dollars since they did not have to print all the fabrics. We built these sofas in less than 30 days and delivered them to San Francisco.

Does the company have a presence onsite at the event?

We are flexible to our clients’ needs. If they prefer to pick up at our facility or have us assist with install, we are happy to accommodate either way.
