Freeman enhances transportation service, awarded AHA contract

Freeman, a provider of integrated services for face-to-face marketing events, announced the expansion of its Freeman Online (FOL) offering with the Transportation Portal Project (TPP). It will improve the transportation service offering by increasing customer service levels through a reliable, affordable and quality, web-based self service application.

With the FOL TPP, Freeman provides alternatives for the way customers do business with Freeman. The self-service application makes it easy for Freeman customers to get real-time updates on shipping orders and transportation status. TPP also provides exhibitors with calculated pickup dates and expected transit times for their shipments to and from their shows; an excellent planning tool to determine shipping readiness dates.

“Our customer strategy is not to dictate what platforms our customers chose to do business with Freeman; however, provide alternatives to the way they chose to do business with us,” said Cole McKellar, director of corporate solutions development at Freeman. “We developed this product with its customers at the helm and when it comes to knowing exactly what customers want, the customers themselves are the best authorities.”

Freeman has recognized a significant increase of services rendered through FOL with a lower volume of customer service calls. Online ordering provides an instant all-inclusive rate quote, which reduces order processing time, exhibitor costs and the ability to accurately budget transportation costs prior to the event.

Freeman was also recently awarded a two-year contract with the American Heart Association as their official general services contractor, and a one-year contract as their official audio/visual service provider for their annual Scientific Sessions and International Stroke conference.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Freeman and working together to improve the experience of our exhibitors and attendees,” said Leigh Ann Stockard, vice president of meetings for AHA. “We strive to provide an outstanding show experience and depend on Freeman to deliver logistical expertise, industry best practices and superior customer service.”

“We are honored to be able to continue our long-standing partnership with the AHA,” said Carrie Freeman Parsons, vice chair of Freeman. “Our relationship and continued focus on innovative technology developments, strategic and creative products and services creates an unforgettable experience for their customers.”
