Expotechnik exhibits, display products nominated for German Design Award

Four Expotechnik projects have been nominated in the third-annual German Design Awards competition.

Awarded annually by the German Design Council, the honor is unique because nominees are selected by an official jury. Companies and designers cannot apply or nominate themselves, and Expotechnik officials cite the nominations as affirmation of their creative efforts.

“We work hard every day to be creative in the ways we translate our customer’s brands into environments,” said Thomas Frisby, executive vice president, Expotechnik Creative. “Our four nominations for the German Design Award demonstrate the success of our efforts.”

Expotechnik received nominations for two of its exhibit designs and for two of its display products. The exhibits Expotechnik created for Deutsche Telekom at MEDICA 2012 and for Sonova Group at EUHA 2012 will compete in the Communications Design – Architecture and Interior Design category. Expotechnik’s Lambda and Epsilon display products were nominated in the Product Design – Working Spaces category.

In 2012, Expotechnik received two German Design Award nominations. The German Design Award of the German Design Council recognizes outstanding German and international design landscape in 10 categories. Winners will be announced in September.

Expotechnik serves innovative corporations by creating architecture-supported experiences that engage prospective customers. Its specialties include exhibits, exhibitions, events and environments. The global firm is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, with nine subsidiaries located across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
