Experient gives back during holiday event

Experient, a source for integrated meeting and event solutions, showcased its holiday spirit with the 20th Annual Holiday Unwrap open house and gift drive on Dec. 16.

Employees from Experient and Maritz Travel, along with over 170 clients and hotel, convention and visitors’ bureau (CVB) and supplier partners, participated in this holiday event in Chicago. The event benefitted the LYDIA Home Association, which serves thousands of children and families by helping them overcome obstacles, such as trauma from abuse and neglect.

“I am always so proud of the time, effort, ideas and heart that goes into ensuring this event is a huge success,” said Jeff Sacks, CMP, vice president – Strategic Account Management, Experient. “Holiday Unwrap continues to serve as an opportunity for us to give back, and we’re grateful for the support of our sponsors and donors who give so generously each year.  The manner in which our guests have embraced this event has allowed so many children, [who] would have otherwise gone without, to have gifts and everyday staples during the holidays and throughout the year.”

Guests filled a 10-foot cargo van with everything from everyday essentials, such as diapers, formula and winter clothes, to special wish list items, including electronics, gift cards and toys. The donations supported over 200 children at LYDIA.

“Christmas is our kids’ favorite time of year, and while that may be true for most children, it is especially true for the children we care for,” said Meredith Kober, community relations manager, LYDIA Home Association. “We are blessed to have Experient’s donations and support, which allow our kids [to] learn in a tangible way that they are cared for and loved.”
