Event community offered savings on NYC attractions

NYC & Company, the city’s official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, launched a 2015 New York City Delegate Discount Pass this month, offering exclusive savings throughout the year at more than 70 restaurants, tours, attractions and retailers.

The Delegate Discount Pass, which is available to all attendees, exhibitors, meeting planners and event staff, offers delegates the opportunity to experience all the city has to offer during their stay, at an affordable price.

“New York City is known for its unrivaled dining, arts, culture and tours, making it an appealing destination for meeting delegates from around the globe,” said Fred Dixon, president and CEO, NYC & Company. “Meeting and convention visitors are crucial to New York City’s record-breaking travel and tourism industry, and we hope they take advantage of the plentiful savings available to them through the 2015 New York City Delegate Discount Pass.”

The New York City Delegate Discount Pass allows visitors to redeem a variety of discounts at more than 70 NYC & Company member organizations, including restaurants ranging from bars to fine-dining establishments, walking and bus tours, beloved department stores, sporting experiences and more.

In 2014, New York City welcomed an estimated 6.1 million meeting and convention delegates, up from 5.9 million delegates who spent approximately $5 billion in the five boroughs in 2013. An important contributor to New York City’s tourism industry, MICE visitation from around the globe continues to increase each year.

The current iteration of the New York City Delegate Discount Pass is valid through June 30 (details for the remainder of the year will be available at a later date). To redeem offers, visitors must show a printed or mobile version of the Delegate Discount Pass, provided by NYC & Company’s Destination Services Team to convention, tradeshow and corporate meeting planners.
