Enid Event Center awarded ‘Best Public Improvement Project’

Enid Event Center, a two-story, 3,800 seat flexible venue managed by Global Spectrum hosting concerts, family shows, trade shows and sporting events, was named the 2014 ‘Best Public Improvement Project.’

Awarded at the 25th Annual Oklahoma Main Street Awards Banquet, the event was held on May 6 at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Okla.

“We proudly manage both Enid Event Center and Convention Hall in the best interest for not only for the goals established by our client, the City of Enid, but also the entire community and North Central Oklahoma,” said Keller Taylor, general manager, Enid Event Center and Convention Hall, Global Spectrum. “We have continued to be excited about our opportunity to bolster quality of life in the region and provide a diverse set of entertainment / convention & meeting options right here in Enid.”

Keep Enid Beautiful and Woodward- Streetscape were other project finalists for the award in the category.  Focusing on the “Design” component of the Four-Point Main Street Approach, the Best Public Improvement Project was one of 22 awards during the evening.

“The investment the City of Enid has made in the Enid Event Center and the amazing job Keller and his team do at bringing quality entertainment to our downtown have made an incredible difference in our revitalization efforts and Main Street Enid is thrilled for them to be recognized for it state-wide,” said Kelly Thompkins, program director, Main Street Enid.
