EIBTM accepting applications for technology award

Interested applicants can now apply for the annual EIBTM Technology Watch Award at the European Incentives and Business Travel Meeting (EIBTM), a global event for the meeting and events industry.

The award is the longest running annual global recognition project for technology innovation in the meetings and events sector.

Comprised of influential leaders and chaired by meetings technology expert Corbin Ball, the EIBTM Technology Watch judging panel 2014 will consist of Michelle Bruno, technology journalist, Bruno Group Signature Events; Christine Fuchs, founder, The Social Fox; Paul Hussey, director, The Conference Doctor; Ruud Janssen, founder, TNOC and co-founder, EMG; and Martin Sirk, CEO, ICCA.

Moreover, two new industry judges will join the panel this year: Stefania Conti-Vecchi, founder and CEO, EVENTagist, and Padraic Gilligan, managing partner, SoolNua.

“We are delighted to welcome back world-renowned technology expert Corbin Ball to chair the EIBTM 2014 Technology Watch judging panel and to also welcome some new faces. They will all be looking for products that demonstrate new and innovative technology solutions, which can make a significant difference to the industry,” said Graeme Barnett, senior exhibition director, Reed Travel Exhibitions, EIBTM.

The EIBTM Technology Watch winner will be awarded an exhibition stand in the Technology & Services Zone at the 2014 edition of the show, showcasing their brand to over 15,000 industry professionals and will be invited to present their winning technology in the Innovation Zone.

“This award has provided the platform for many products to be launched into the industry, and it’s a unique opportunity for companies to showcase their very latest innovations that could shape the future for meetings professionals,” he added.

As the winner is chosen before EIBTM, the prize also includes a pre-show global publicity and marketing campaign and high-visibility onsite. The winner will receive:

  • Coverage in a dedicated article published in the official EIBTM Show Daily distributed to all show attendees
  • Exposure to EIBTM’s extensive database of over 40,000 industry professionals and the world’s industry media
  • Exposure in the EIBTM Show Preview, EIBTM Catalogue, EIBTM website and post-show newsletter

Entry for the EIBTM 2014 Technology Watch Award will close on Sept. 10. To support the applicants in the entry process, a new initiative has been implemented this year; applicants can now access a ‘How to win’ guide from Corbin Ball to maximize their entry potential on the EIBTM Technology Watch webpage.

Free to enter, the application process for submissions is open at www.eibtm.com/technologywatch.
