“I am excited to be part of the growth of EDPA SoCal and the launch of our exhibit design class at Chapman University, which will be taught by our own newly elected chapter Vice President Doug Young (below left),” said Riches.

doug-youngChapman University has asked Doug to teach an exhibit design class in spring 2017. This invitation follows the successful exhibit design project spearheaded by Doug and Steve this past year.  The class will be taught to graphics and packaging majors, with the goal of introducing them to 3D Environmental/Exhibit Design. Along with cultivating a new design discipline with his students, Doug will teach them the tools they will need to seriously consider exhibit design as a viable career choice.

“I’m eager to introduce the world of exhibit design to a group of talented young students. This has been a great industry to work in and I’m excited to share it,” said Doug. In addition to teaching this class, Doug will also moderate a Chapman University design symposium this coming spring with a panel of industry professionals, including Steve. Stay tuned for further details.
