ECEF 2014 achieves record-setting Net Promoter Score

Based on the question “How likely are you to recommend ECEF to a colleague?” the 2014 Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum achieved a record-setting 87 percent Net Promoter Score (NPS), according to an independent post-event survey.

“ECEF has achieved a Net Promoter Score exceeding 80 percent for three years in a row. This is our best NPS yet,” stated Sam Lippman, president, Lippman Connects, and producer, ECEF.

The survey was conducted by Jacobs Jenner & Kent (JJ&K), a marketing research and consulting firm specializing in events and an ECEF sponsor. JJ&K CEO and Director of Research Wayne Jacobs explained the significance of ECEF’s high score.

“A Net Promoter Score can range from a low negative percent to a high of positive of 100 percent. An NPS of 50 percent or higher is excellent. I am not aware of many organizations even reaching the 80 percent range,” Jacobs said.

More than indicating satisfaction with any single event, the NPS methodology measures overall customer loyalty. By gaining 5 percent in a three-year period, ECEF has earned higher levels of customer loyalty each year.

ECEF 2014 was also notable for attracting a record 206 verified executives from associations and independent event producers.

“We are currently analyzing the comments and suggestions from survey respondents,” said Lippman. “And we will use this feedback to improve ECEF 2015.”

ECEF 2015 will be held May 27 in Washington, D.C. More information on the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum is available at www.lippmanconnects/ecef.
