Following a well-attended groundbreaking ceremony in September 2013, Orbus Exhibit & Display Group (Orbus), a trade supplier of display, exhibit and event solutions, is fast developing a facility to expand operations and unify its Bolingbrook, Ill., distribution/production operation and its Niles, Ill., custom fabrication operation.
Constructing a 350,000 square-foot custom manufacturing and distribution facility serves to consolidate operations as well as employees into one location, according to company officials.
Photos documenting the construction progress are shared with its 350 employees on a weekly basis. Upon completion, Orbus will move all staff from both Illinois locations into the expanded facility in Woodridge, Ill., within the same week.
Among the many construction milestones accomplished last year have been raising up the building walls in October and installing roofing in November. Air lifting HVAC units to the roof earlier this month provided much-needed heat for McShane construction crews, a Chicagoland developer, working on the interior during the Midwestern winter.
