Conference English Riviera to host Young Farmers’ convention

Winning its bid to host the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs’ (NFYFC) convention in 2015 and 2017 is Conference English Riviera, a UK-based conference planning firm.

Young Farmers Clubs conventionTo be held at the Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC), the convention next takes place April 24-25. Conference English Riviera will work with accommodation providers to ensure there are plenty of hotels available for the 4,500 delegates expected to descend on Torquay, England.

“The NFYFC is delighted to be returning to Torquay and the RICC for its 2015 and 2017 annual convention weekends,” said James Eckley, CEO, NFYFC. “Our members enjoy visiting the resort and attractions, and the RICC provides an ideal venue for the 4,500 expected delegates.”

Including choirs and performing arts competitions, the annual convention weekend will also have forums, seminars and various evening events, such as a Black Tie Ball.

“As we plan the events, the NFYFC will enjoy the benefits of working with the council and the Torbay Police as well as hoteliers and accommodation providers who are keen to ensure the events are well planned and our members have a great time in Torquay and at the RICC,” added Eckley.

A number of additional events will take place across the town in different venues.

“We warmly welcome the return of NFYFC to Torquay. We have the potential to generate an estimated £2m for our local economy, which equates to 4,500 delegates staying three nights in a range of local accommodation providers, across the Bay, as well as spending time in bars, nightclubs and shops,” said Torbay Mayor Gordon Oliver.

Torbay is a borough in Devon, England, which is also home to the seaside town of Torquay.
