Busworld Moves to Brussels Expo in 2019

Busworld

After 45 years in the Belgian city of Kortrijk, Busworld, the globe’s largest trade show for the bus and coach industry, will move to move to Brussels Expo for its 2019 biennial event. Officials say the change was prompted by the event’s continued growth that over time expanded beyond the space available at Kortrijk Xpo. “Busworld has, over the years, become the main international trade fair for the bus and coach industry with more than 35,000 visitors, of which 85 percent are from abroad,” said Busworld managing director Mieke Glorieux. “For our 2019 and future editions, we will need at least 646,000 square feet of exhibition space, and we had to find a location that still offers growth opportunities.”

Brussels Expo is the largest exhibition space in Belgium, and it offers amenities that show organizers say will provide the greatest international appeal to attendees and exhibitors. Aside from its international airport and wealth of nearby lodging and dining opportunities, Brussels Expo offers a 1.2 million-square-foot campus, which officials say is large enough to facilitate the event’s growth ambitions well into the future.
