The Burmark booth at EXHIBITOR201 was designed by Leslie Ann Chiu.

Brumark, the total flooring solution firm, demonstrated how the right flooring helps build great exhibits from the ground up. At EXHIBITOR2011, the company showcased a dynamic exhibit designed by one of the industry’s best and brightest new members.

The new exhibit, located at Booth #1125, was created by Leslie Ann Chiu, a graduate student at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. The exhibit visually shows the inclusive use of complementary materials that make up an impactful booth.

“When I saw Leslie’s design, I was impressed by the dimensions, the flexibility and the cutting-edge innovation with the ability to use various materials to make this a great exhibit for us,” said Dave Walens, president of Brumark and EDPA Foundation chair.

Brumark will also award two $500 scholarships to students pursuing design careers in the exhibit industry at FIT and Bemidji State University. FIT is recognized as the only school with a graduate program specific to Exhibit Design while Bemidji’s four-year degree in Exhibit Design is a leading undergraduate program in the United States. The scholarships will be awarded through the EDPA Foundation.

“Brumark is passionate about supporting and implementing efforts that impact our next generation of exhibit design movers and shakers,” said Walens. “This initiative is just a portion of the commitment we as a company desire to have with our young leaders. And the scholarships are a great way for our valued partners to show their industry support and get their company in front of the industry’s rising stars.”
